VOCATIONAL TRAINING

At our Vocational Training courses we offer a variety of opportunities for our students to learn skills and knowledge for a specific job before they start the Conquerors Program. When they are 14-years-old, they can start taking courses such as Culinary Arts, Haircut and Cosmetology, Auto Body Repair, Human Resources, and Computer Technology. These are marketable courses that provide a great opportunity for students to overcome poverty and find jobs easily, a critical turning point in their lives. We’ve learned it can be hard to embrace the concept of Eternal Hope if the children can’t muster any hope for their futures here on earth.

These courses are offered not only to our children who live full-time at the City of Youth, but also to students from local poor communities who have a family and a home but also want to break the cycle of poverty in their families. Every year we have an average of 2,100 students enrolled in our courses offered both in Campinas and at Hope Mountain in Vitória.

We are very proud to say that Gerson, a 28-year-old man and a former student of ours, who discovered his passion for culinary at our Culinary Arts course. He is now one of the chefs at the best five star resort in Campinas and one of the most well-known resorts in Brazil.
